Why did Britain Win?

Britain beat Germany in the Battle of Britain because:

1) Germany had underestimated what Britain could do. Germany worked out that they could train 3 times as many pilots as we could, they also thought their Messerschmitts were better than our Spitfires and Hurricanes. On both of these assumptions they were wrong. Britian could train just as many pilots. Britians Spitfires and Hurricanes were faster, more agile and had longer in the air because German planes only had 30 miniutes over Britain.

2) Britain had the RADAR (see page 7). The radar allowed Britain to see oncoming planes before they had even come into sight. Britain used this so that they could be above the German planes as they were coming and shoot them down.
